The oldest Easy Company veteran has passed away peacefully today. Ed Mauser (94), part of 2nd Platoon, was diagnosed with terminal cancer late last month.
Ed followed Major Dick Winters one last time, peacefully in his sleep, and has returned to be with the men who went before him.
Clancy is very sorry to hear about Ed's passing. Our sincere condolences go out to Ed's family and friends.
Soft landings trooper and rest in peace. Thank you for your service and thank you for the great memories.
